Training for Financial Institutions: Integrating Green Finance Schemes into Textile MSME Lending

This Technical Assistance Center training brought together financial institutions to strengthen green financing for MSMEs in the textile value chain. Using the textile sector as a case study, the session explored how climate risks translate into credit, market, and operational risks, where financeable green investments exist across the value chain, and how government-led schemes and green credit lines can support these investments. Participants also examined how green finance can be integrated into existing appraisal, sanction, and monitoring processes.

Peenya MSME Awareness Training on Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Finance

The Technical Assistance Center (TAC) under the Green Indian Financial System (GIFS) Initiative conducted a training for financial institutions on Integrating Green Finance Schemes into Auto MSME Lending on September 17, 2026, in Mumbai. Using the automotive sector as a case study, the training explored climate risks across the MSME value chain, green financing opportunities, relevant financing schemes and instruments, and practical approaches to strengthen green MSME lending.

Awareness Training for MSMEs on Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Finance in Ludhiana

As part of the Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) under the Greening the Indian Financial System (GIFS) Initiative, the Foundation for MSME Clusters (FMC) conducted an awareness training on Climate Change, Sustainability, and Green Finance for MSMEs in Ludhiana’s knitwear cluster on July 18, 2026. The training brought together 49 MSME owners and entrepreneurs from the knitwear, hosiery, apparel, and fabric sectors and focused on sustainability requirements, climate risks, low-carbon transition, and green finance opportunities.

Training for Financial Institutions: Integrating Green Finance Schemes into Auto MSME Lending

A capacity-building session for banks and NBFCs on understanding climate risks across the automotive MSME value chain and translating them into practical credit assessment and green financing opportunities. The training explored how climate risks affect business and credit outcomes, and how lenders can integrate these considerations into existing appraisal and financing processes.
